The Exciting Year of 2025

Seeking God in the New Year: A Season of Revelation

As we crossed over into a new year, it’s always a powerful time to reflect, reset, and seek the Lord for guidance. I want to take a moment to thank all of my subscribers—both those who have been here for a while and those who are new to this space. Your support means so much, and I am grateful for this growing community where we can explore faith-based topics and Bible studies together.

A Word for the New Year

Every year, I take time to seek the Lord and listen for what He wants to reveal. While I do not call myself a prophet, God does speak to me prophetically at times. During a recent fast, I noticed the number 333 appearing multiple times—on the television screen, on my phone—and immediately, I knew God was pointing me to Jeremiah 33:3:

“Call unto me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.”

This verse is an invitation from God to seek Him more deeply so that He can reveal new aspects of Himself to us. I sensed Him saying that this is a season where He desires for us to know Him in ways we may have never experienced before.

God Reveals Himself in Seasons

Throughout Scripture, God often reveals different characteristics of Himself in different seasons. The Bible is filled with examples of how God’s people encountered Him in unique ways:

  • The Israelites experienced God as their Deliverer as He led them out of Egypt.

  • In the wilderness, they knew Him as Jehovah Jireh, their provider.

  • When Hagar was in the desert, God revealed Himself as El Roi, the God who sees her.

In every situation, the name of God reflected what He was revealing about Himself in that season. Just as He did then, He continues to do today.

The Meaning Behind This Season

According to the Hebrew calendar, we are in the year 5785, which aligns with the Gregorian year 2025. One of the meanings associated with 5785 is shift or window, suggesting that this is a time of transition and new revelation. The Hebrew letter Hey (which represents the number five) appears in the name Yahweh, emphasizing God’s eternal presence—He who was, who is, and who is to come.

This is a season where God is calling us to seek Him, to experience Him in new ways, and to allow Him to reveal more of Himself to us.

How to Seek God in This Season

  1. Ask God Who He Wants to Be for You – When you find yourself in a new season, ask, “Lord, who do You want to be for me right now?” He may want to reveal Himself as your healer, provider, protector, or teacher in this moment.

  2. Prioritize Time in His Presence – Whether through prayer, fasting, or worship, be intentional about seeking the Lord. As Jeremiah 33:3 says, when we call upon Him, He will answer.

  3. Focus on the Giver, Not Just the Gifts – Instead of simply seeking what God can do for us, let’s seek to know Him more deeply. When we pursue Him first, everything else falls into place (Matthew 6:33).

Looking Ahead

Personally, I am excited about this new year. As I approach my 55th birthday, I sense a divine shift happening. God is revealing Himself in new ways, and I believe He has incredible things in store for all of us who diligently seek Him.

In journeying through this new year, I encourage you to take time with the Lord. Open your heart to Him and ask Him to reveal His character in fresh ways. I pray that this year will be filled with His presence, His love, and His guidance over your life.

Looking Forward to Our New Year!

May you be overwhelmed by the Father’s love today and always.
